Contracts and data handling

Usually that's the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs. We sign whichever your solicitor prefers, plus a data processing agreement. Before work starts we also sign an NDA and IP assignment. Access is limited to named engineers, and production data stays in the region you choose. For anything involving special category data, a short call with your DPO first is a good idea.

Quotes are written in GBP, or USD if you prefer. Senior engineers on dedicated or time-and-material terms are about $25 to $45 an hour. A brochure site typically starts around $3,500, and a portal or SaaS MVP is more often $15,000 to $60,000. We scope it before putting a figure on it. VAT depends on your set-up, so check with your accountant. Notice periods for dedicated engineers are set in the contract, so there's no surprise on either side.
How a project starts
First a call, ideally within a week of you writing in. We ask about users, systems already in place, deadlines and any compliance constraints on your side. Then a written proposal in GBP.
